In 1997 The Grateful Dead were interested in building a multi-use space that would be part museum, archive space, and concert hall. Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley were asked to create visual assets for the project and it is believed that this artwork was created at this time in support of this effort.
This incredible piece of fully formed art measures 9” x 11” and is signed by Mouse. The piece features the famous Dead Terrapins, which along with the Dancing Bears, are instantly recognized as beloved Dead mascots.
In recent years the demand for ANY Original, 1/1 of artwork from the Big Five has exploded upwards, resulting in sharply increased values. But this is not just any piece of unique art. This is a signed piece by the Legendary Stanley Mouse and features the Grateful Dead and their lovable Terrapins!
