This is one of the most desirable of all 1960’s concert posters in absolutely remarkable Museum Quaity condition!

Without question, Bill Graham is the most famous concert promoter of all time, In fact, he is the ONLY concert promoter that is a household name that most people have heard of.

Graham and his Fillmore Auditorium were literally Ground Zero for the 1960’s counter culture scene. Graham’s story and his posters have traveled the country in a major museum exhibit that produced huge crowds and long lines wherever it appeared…and it appeared at countless museums all across the U.S.A.

The story of this historic issue is well known. A miniscule 500 specimens measuring 15" x 19" were created by artist Peter Bailey. While the presses were running, Graham noticed that Bailey had placed his name on the poster without permission. After 125 -150 pieces were created, Graham halted the press and had Bailey’s name removed for the final 350.

The pieces with Bailey’s name are known as “OP-1”, the posters without Bailey's name are know as OP-2. Both are Original Pre Show issues that were created at the same time.

This poster is superb in EVERY and is indistinguishable from a couple specimens graded 9.8 that we have previously handled.

It is well known amongst collectors of all types, that the FIRST of any collectible is always one of the most sought after and valuable issues.

The reason is simple. The FIRST of anything is unquestionably the most historically important.

The first Batman comic, the Mickey Mantle rookie baseball card, the first Corvette, you can go right down the line. In every collectible, the FIRST is what collectors want.

Here's your chance to get the first Bill Graham Fillmore concert poster, featuring “the sights and sounds of the Trips festival”, The Jefferson Airplane, a issuance of just a few hundred pieces, all in spectacular Museum Quality condition!

Ridiculously cheap at today's price levels, this should be a $75,000 poster right now.

Estimate $4,000-$6,000
